Fishing & Outdoors goes digital

As you may know, Fishing & Outdoors is a completely New Zealand-owned and published newspaper and we’ve been delighted to provide you with industry news and updates through our four-weekly freely available newspaper.
However, given the current economic climate, we have made the difficult decision to hold off printing the newspaper and release it as an online-only read for the foreseeable future.
This has come about due to a number of factors, but it is fair to say that the COVID-19 pandemic has smashed many publishers, and, unfortunately, we haven’t been immune to this economic storm seen worldwide, with advertisers either reducing their spend or not spending at all.
The upshot of all this is that, while Fishing & Outdoors newspaper gets excellent feedback from readers and the industry, we are not earning enough dollars to justify the costs of printing and distribution.
But all is not lost, as, through our online platform, we will continue to deliver articles that lay out both sides of a story, so you can make your own informed decision on matters of interest to you and our country.
The digital edition will be uploaded on our website every four weeks and we’ll share it on our social media channels as well.
