Farming, nature, and the great Kiwi outdoors have always been interwoven through Michelle Clarke’s art. The self-taught young artist is becoming increasingly in demand for her talent of creating snapshots of rural New Zealand life.
Scroll through her Facebook page (The Art of Michelle Clarke) or her website and you’ll find that her affinity with animals and nature is evident in her artwork; Michelle’s striking hunting series featuring a stag, a tahr, and a chamois is just one of her many beautiful creations.
These days, The Art of Michelle Clarke has an impressive following of fans, with a steadily growing range of products. We spoke to the Canterbury-based artist to find out more about her life and her art.
