This summer, a new campaign is being aimed at encouraging Kiwis to wear life jackets.

Complacency with wearing life jackets is contributing to high drowning rates in New Zealand, says Coastguard, and in response to the increasing number of preventable drownings on watercraft, the organisation, along with Water Safety New Zealand, is urging Kiwis to wear life jackets while on the water this summer. 

In other news, the line-up of new cabinet ministers announced by the National-Act-NZ First Government received mixed support from the industry. We take a closer look in the latest issue.
