Last month, protestors took aim at bottom trawling in the Hauraki Gulf. Hundreds of people participated in a protest organised by Greenpeace Aotearoa and Forest & Bird, taking to kayaks, paddleboards, and boats, pushing the issue back into the spotlight and demanding an end to bottom trawling.

F&O contributor Shannon Williams takes a closer look at the issue in the cover story this month.
