Fishing & Outdoors Vol 6 Issue 3

In a world where outdoor activities such as fishing, hunting, and boating are often seen as male-dominated, Isabell Zitzelsberger is leading a charge for change, reshaping the narrative through Wild Chix – a series of seminars aimed at empowering women in the outdoors.

Driven by a desire to create a supportive and non-intimidating environment, Isabell’s first Wild Chix seminar at the Tauranga Sportfishing Club covered essential topics such as boating basics, safety, and maintenance. Through the seminars, Isabell aims to build a community of confident and knowledgeable women, bridging the gender gap in traditionally male-dominated activities. We find out more in our cover story this issue.

In other news, Game Animal Council is asking Kiwi hunters to participate in a research project, mass dead fish were reported in two separate incidents, and All Black legend Ian Jones is inviting Kiwis to join him in a guided walk through Hollyford Valley.
